We recently made the short journey down the road to the quaint village of Stokeinteignhead, Devon, for a conservatory replacement. Mr & Mrs Higgins were looking to replace their existing conservatory, so gave us a call. Our devoted team of experts happily heeded it, setting out straight away.

A new roof created new possibilities

Mr & Mrs Higgins’ had a single glazed roof that kept leaking, even after several repairs. Fed up of the conservatory’s lack of usability, it was decided that the roof needed replacing. After originally wanting a more superior glass roof, a showcase of the high-performance Supalite tiled roof by our expert team made it clear that this was the option for providing the versatile space the Higgins were looking for. And to ensure their new roof perfectly suited their existing property, stylish Tapco slate tiles were chosen.

A seamless open space

In order to keep plenty of light heading into their conservatory, the Higgins asked us to incorporate two stunning new roof windows. Mr & Mrs Higgins then opted for aluminium framing on their conservatory’s new windows and doors, due to the exceptionally slim sightlines on offer. Ensuring their new conservatory felt as connected to the outside as possible, a 4 pane bi-folding door was chosen to be fitted. After extending and squaring off the corner of the conservatory’s existing base, our expert team installed their new bi-folds, ensuring for the smoothest of transitions between the inside and out.

Subtle extras for that personal touch

No conservatory is complete without adding those personal elements that truly make it feel like your own. In keeping with this philosophy, the Higgins opted for Georgian bars to be fitted within the glass, which suited the character of their home. Several ceiling spot lights were then added, along with down lights within the external soffit, adding further depth to the conservatory’s exterior. After adding these subtle nuances, the Higgins’ new conservatory felt much more unique to them.
